I bought this as a gift and really like the idea of it. At first the temperature was pretty accurate but after 6 months the temperature is unreliable.

Works very well after set-up according to manufacturer's instruction as per enclosed booklet. There is a slight difference between the outside temperature and the actual reading of a calibrated thermometer but of no consequence. Overall it is a great buy for anyone interested in many phases of the weather.

Details:
Pluses:
- Easy to set up. I read the directions afterwords and found out about a few more features, but had it all set up right.
- I really like all the features. The kids like the little guy w/ the different uniforms. I found him corny, but useful.
- Displays both local and satellite info.
- Countertop display stand works well.
Issues:
- Wall mount doesn't work well. It works, but there is only one point to hang it from so it can get bumped and the mounting hole is not flush w/ the back, it's recessed.
